Medan Zoo is a zoo in Medan, Indonesia. The location is located in Simalingkar B Village, Medan Tuntungan, about 10 kilometers from the city center to the Brastagi direction.
The zoo which is currently a zoo was inaugurated by the Mayor of Medan, Abdillah, on April 14, 2005. Medan Zoo is located on Jalan Brigjen Katamso, Kampung Baru Village, Medan Maimun.
Even though it’s new, the zoo in Simalingkar has been criticized for not providing proper facilities for its animals. The atmosphere that helps food that is lacking for animals is also a problem facing this zoo.
About 1,000 people visit this 30-hectare zoo every weekend. On a typical day, the number of visitors is estimated at 150 people every day.
