Taman Buaya Asam Kumbang is the largest reptile breeding park in Indonesia. The park which has an area of two hectares has even become the largest crocodile park in Southeast Asia. Here there are around two thousand five hundred crocodiles of various sizes, including crocodiles that are over forty years old.
Located on Jalan Bunga Raya, Medan Subdistrict Selayang No.59 Asam Kumbang Village, five kilometers from the center of Medan City, this Crocodile Park originated from the hobby of Lo Tham Muk, a local resident in 1959 who will reptile animals. Today the food needs of crocodiles spend at least one ton of duck or chicken.
