If you visit Lombok Island you will write a list of visits to interesting tourist attractions that have different characters, say some of them are; Senggigi Beach, Gili Island (Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno and Gili Air) which is an attractive tourist attraction for beach lovers with distinctive white sand, which offers a place for snorkeling or surfing. Or for you lovers of nature tourism, you can also try adventure in the wild by entering the area of Mount Rinjani National Park which is the second highest volcanic mountain in Indonesia with a very beautiful natural landscape. Speaking of natural tourism on the island of Lombok in particular, currently an ex-situ conservation area called Kebun Raya Lemor is being built in the Lemor Protected Forest area in Suela Village, Suela District, which is approximately 28 km north of Selong City, East Lombok with area of around 130 ha. The location for the construction of the Lombok Botanical Gardens has beautiful views against the backdrop of Mount Rinjani and the Sumbawa Strait (Alas Strait) in other parts. The area is still a secondary forest of around 89.2 ha with mixed vegetation and an open area (Kopang II) of around 42 ha which is currently used for the cultivation of several types of agricultural crops by several East Lombok District Government agencies. Each botanical garden has a special characteristic that distinguishes one from another botanical garden, as well as the Botanical Gardens of Lombok, this botanical garden was developed with the theme “conservation of small Sunda Islands plants”. This is because the Lombok Botanical Gardens are the first botanical gardens (and currently the only one) that were built in the Lesser Sunda Islands bioregion area, and are expected to be one of the centers of empowerment of citizens who are integrated in regional development (DAS) through multistakeholder collaboration is synergistic.
