Bunga Bangkai

This plant is named the Giant Corpse Flower because when it is blooming, it produce gas that smells similar to a decaying corpse. The fragrance is chemically similar to durien, which, though it has a complex fragrance, some have been known to notice the corpse smell, too. The Giant Corpse Flower is unique because it has three life cycles, they are vegetative, dormant and generative. Therefore this flower only blooms once every three or four years.
