Jambi Perjuangan Rakyat Museum is located between Jl. Sultan Agung and Jl. Slamet Riyadi or south of the Jambi Great Mosque. The establishment of the museum on the initiative of the Regional Board of Regional Forces ’45 (DHD-’45) together with the Regional Government of Jambi Province as a manifestation of the importance of the building as a memorial in the history of the Jambi People’s Struggle during the national movement and Indonesian independence.
The process of building the museum was marked by the laying of the first stone by the Chairman of the Veterans Legion of the Republic of Indonesia, Lt. Gen. Achmad Thahir on June 6, 1993.
The shape of the museum building is a blend of traditional Jambi house style and modern architecture. Consisting of three floors as a permanent showroom and two terraces on both wing buildings that are often used as temporary showrooms. The building itself has an area of approximately 1,365 m2 occupying an area of 10,000 M.
