In Indonesia, bamboo is one of the most valuable plant commodities, because of its wide variety of uses. There are more than 35 species of bamboo that is planted in this garden. Among the species of the bamboo are Giant Bamboo (Dendrocalamus giganteus Munro) from India and has edible young shoot, Black Bamboo (Gigantchloa atroviolacea Widjaja) native from Java as material for making traditional music Angklung and Yellow Bamboo (Bambusa vulgaris Schrad. Ex wendl.) used by traditional people to thread yellow vefer.
