Monumen Pahlawan Pancasila

The museum was inaugurated on October 1, 1991 by KGPAA Paku Alam VIII as the Governor of DIY. The Pancasila Heroes Monument building has a Javanese traditional house architecture (Joglo). Inside the building there was a hole where two bodies of revolutionary hero Brigadier Katamso and Colonel Sugiyono were buried. The collection of the Pancasila Heroes Monument museum in the form of realia objects and equipment related to the events of the kidnapping of the two revolutionary heroes namely Brigadier General Anumerta Katamso and Colonel posthumous Sugiyono. Yogyakarta as the fortress of the proclamation did not escape the attempts of the communist movement which killed Colonel Katamso and Lieutenant Colonel Soegiyono in September 1965, as happened at the Jakarta crocodile pit. At the place where the two heroes were found, a Pancasila Heroes Monument was built. This monument is expected to remind you of various events that try to divide the unity of the Republic of Indonesia. There, you will witness the historical evidence of the G 30S / PKI event and also the story through the reliefs.
