The Semarajaya Museum was built at the Former MULO School Building (Dutch Middle School) and the former Klungkung Junior High School located in the Kertha Gosa / Taman Gili complex, Pemedal Agung (door to the former Klungkung kingdom). The building was built by the Dutch Government after the collapse of the Kingdom of Klungkung on April 28, 1908.
The Semarajaya Museum was inaugurated by the Minister of Home Affairs on April 28, 1992. In this museum you can see items used as equipment for traditional ceremonies by the kings of Klungkung and documentation photos of the descendants of kings in Klungkung. In addition, objects stored in prehistoric times were kept until the objects used during the Puputan Klungkung war.
