Are you an XR Software Developer looking for your next challenge?

We’re working with a leading studio seeking a talented XR Software Developer to design and build cutting-edge extended reality (XR) applications using Unity 3D. In this role, you’ll be developing immersive VR, AR, and MR solutions, collaborating with designers, artists, and engineers to create seamless, high-performance XR experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy XR applications (VR/AR/MR) in Unity 3D for platforms like Meta Quest, HoloLens, iOS, and Android.
• Write clean, efficient C# code for gameplay mechanics, interactions, and system integrations.
• Collaborate with XR designers and 3D artists to implement assets, animations, and UI/UX elements into functional experiences.
• Optimise applications for performance, stability, and user comfort.
• Debug and troubleshoot technical issues related to XR hardware, tracking, and spatial interactions.
• Integrate third-party SDKs/APIs (e.g., Oculus SDK, AR Foundation, Vuforia) for features like hand tracking, spatial mapping, or multiplayer networking.
• Participate in code reviews, adhere to best practices, and contribute to technical documentation.
• Stay up to date with advancements in XR technologies, tools, and industry trends.

What We're Looking For

Must-Have:

• 1-3 years of professional experience in XR development, with a portfolio showcasing Unity 3D projects.
• Strong proficiency in Unity 3D (scene management, prefabs, physics, animation systems, UI).
• C# programming expertise with a solid understanding of object-oriented principles.
• Experience with XR-specific development challenges (e.g., locomotion systems, gesture recognition).
• Basic understanding of 3D mathematics (vectors, matrices, quaternions) and linear algebra.
• Knowledge of version control tools (Git, Perforce).

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with VR/AR SDKs (Oculus Integration, ARKit, ARCore, OpenXR).
• Familiarity with 3D asset pipelines (importing/optimising models, textures, animations).
• Exposure to shader programming (HLSL/ShaderLab) or VFX tools (Unity VFX Graph).
• Knowledge of multiplayer/networking solutions (Photon, Mirror).
• Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
