We are looking for a talented Web Developer I to join our team in Illinois. The ideal candidate will design and build web-based applications and implement key web interface components using standard web development tools and technology, focusing on the Linux Apache web server stack, ensuring optimal performance, security and user experience.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain websites and web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant technologies.
Ensure websites are responsive and accessible across different devices and browsers, Responsive web design (RWD)
Collaborate with designers and other developers to implement website designs and functionality.
Configure and maintain Linux servers, including Apache web servers, to ensure optimal performance and security.
Conduct web production work, including testing and quality assurance.
Document website development processes, server configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
Work in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines and project milestones.
Qualifications:
1 - 3 years of experience in web development.
Proficient in standard web development tools and technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Experience with Responsive web design (RWD), so the user can access the new web pages from a phone, tablet or computer.
Experience with 3rd party APIs used to populate web data. OpenWRT and Proxmox are key sources of data for read/write via APIs.
Experience with APIs to push updates to 3rd party systems. User input will be the source to write data back over APIs
Strong attention to detail and ability to perform thorough testing and QA.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of web frameworks and content management systems.
Familiarity with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility techniques.
Experience with version control systems like Git.

Degree Requirement: Minimum of a Certification form technical school plus 3 years' experience as a web designer, Preferred is a 4 year degree in Web Design or Web Development.
Main Responsibilities: WEB page design and coding
Key Contributions: Designing and coding a web page for our new service tool. Assisting with the deployment and maintenance of a Linux WEB Service, Pulling data from local router api to display on the new service tool WEB page. The user of the new service WEB page will be able to push changes to the local router over the API, and the service tool WEB page must validate the user updates to the router using the API..
Must-Have Qualifications:
Ability to drive the design and coding of the new service tool WEB page.
Develop the WEB page that will be hosted on a local Linux Ubuntu client.
Work with an API for both reading/displaying values from our router and applying changes to the router, including validating the changes were applied (or feedback from the router on any issues/errors)
Software Proficiency: WEB Page development tools, HTML
Required Experience Level: Entry-level WEB page development and design experience.
