Job Description
What is special about this role? You get to participate in the cutting edge “Immerse Arkansas Fellowship Program” which we designed to help build highly skilled, supported, and healthy therapists to support youth from crisis ages 14-24. This program includes: top-notch mentorship and consultation, a Peer Learning Cohort to grow skills and ensure we are providing the best possible support to youth from crisis, and a learning plan that includes pre-selected/limited self elective certifications (paid 100% by Immerse with dedicated hours within the work week to achieve set certifications).
In this role, the therapist will be able to fully implement therapeutic interventions without having to worry about billing, cumbersome master treatment planning, and many of the things that often constrain therapist from doing what they are passionate about. They will work closely with other Trauma Therapists to build interventions, conduct groups and individual interventions, and help youth heal from trauma.

Immerse Arkansas was founded in 2010 with the mission of helping transform youth from crisis into overcomers. The nonprofit organization serves youth between the ages of 14 and 24, whose past trauma and challenges have created barriers to becoming independent, healthy, successful adults.
Immerse Arkansas works with these youth and families to address the underlying trauma resulting from abuse or neglect. We believe that when we surround youth from crisis with unconditional relationships, a vision for their restored future, and tools that anticipate their needs and dreams, we create a climate for healing, growth, and transformation.

We are looking for someone who fits our values of with, worship, and scrappy and who can fully embrace our statement of faith and affirmations. The Trauma Therapist is a full-time, salaried position.
*The Trauma Therapist will:*
* Direct Therapeutic Supports - Provide trauma informed, evidence based, direct therapeutic supports to youth from crisis and victims of crime in both individual and group settings, offer support that are barrier-free and present an easy “on-ramp” for youth, provide crisis response services for youth who are experiencing mental health crisis, supervise a team of interns who support these services.
* Referrals - In cooperation with the entire Immerse Arkansas team, provide referrals and follow-up for youth who need additional, external mental health support including inpatient, day treatment, specialized treatment services, or other specific mental health support.
* Coaching - Support youth from crisis, walking with them as they achieve sufficiency in the areas of Well Being, At Least One (Healthy Relationships), Stable Housing, and Earning Potential, effectively utilizing Immerse Arkansas’ Overcomer process in a way that upholds Immerse values and the principles of Trust Based Relational Intervention. *Qualifications:*
All employees will be thoroughly committed to Immerse’s mission. The ideal candidate will embrace Immerse’s values of with, worship, and scrappy. All candidates should have the following qualifications and experience:
* Have at least a master's degree in a social service related field.
* Must be licensed to practice in the state of Arkansas (LMSW, LCSW, LAC, LPC, etc).
* Must understand human development, trauma, and process of healing for those with trauma.
* Preference given to candidates who have specific trauma training or certifications.
* Must have a track record of creativity in providing therapeutic intervention.
* Strong visionary and implementation skills. Able to see something not yet created and know how to make something happen.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking skills.
* Strong people skills. Able to form effective working relationships with a wide range of people.
* Strong organizational skills and ability to drive multiple simultaneous projects to completion.
* Have experience working with homeless transitional age youth.
* Must demonstrate a commitment to the value of cultural competency.
* Must be able to lift 35 pounds.
* Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
* Must be willing and able to travel within the assigned region on a daily basis.
* Must successfully complete a background check and drug screen.
* Must maintain current certification in CPR, First Aid, and other certifications as determined by the program.
