Job Description Responsibilities: - Administer/manage the enterprise vulnerability program
- Perform network monitoring of corporate network
- Perform security assessments on the corporate network
- Track vulnerabilities through remediation
- Respond and triage events and alerts from security systems
- Perform log review for actionable security events
- Participate in the routine administrative work of the Information Security team including:
- Remain current on the latest security patches, issues, methods and techniques affecting the company
- Assist other Information Security personnel with Security Audits
- Configure, monitor and maintain web content filter system
- Assist in IT security incident response and documentation
- Assist in the development, creation, and implementation of policies and procedures
- Special projects and other duties as assigned
Required Skills: - Four-year degree focusing on Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience. Candidates with a two-year degree and some experience will be considered.
- Entry/Junior level position
- Knowledge of security tools and uses such as Intrusion Detection/Prevention, Vulnerability Scanner and Application Assessment tools
- Well versed in IT infrastructure vulnerabilities and industry best practices in securing IT systems
- Experience with common operating systems, such as Linux and/or Microsoft Windows
- Knowledge of how security relates to a LAN and WAN environment
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Requires organizational and project management skills and ability to set and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex problems
- Knowledge of CIS and Microsoft security benchmarking is beneficial
- Knowledge of and experience with network or application penetration testing is beneficial
- Knowledge of cloud providers and cloud security is beneficial
- Knowledge of various compliance requirements, such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA, NIST or ISO27001 is beneficial
- Hybrid in-office and remote work with majority of time being remote. Candidates must currently live in the Pittsburgh, PA region or be willing to relocate due to occasional in-office work
