Job Description

Are you a Structural Engineer with an interest in performing building restoration and rehabilitation?

A high number of candidates may make applications for this position, so make sure to send your CV and application through as soon as possible.

We are hiring a Structural Engineer dedicated to restoration designs, building failures, construction quality assurance, and building commissioning. Once the cause of the failure is determined, you can help design solutions to rectify the issues! You can be involved with construction QA, historic restoration, repair design, restoration design, and forensic analysis, and more!

As a Forensic Structural Engineer, you will play a critical role in investigating and analyzing structural failures, determining causation, and providing expert testimony when necessary. From assessing damage to uncovering root causes, your expertise will be instrumental in delivering comprehensive solutions and ensuring the integrity and safety of built environments.

What You Will Do:

Conduct forensic investigations of structural failures, including collapses, foundation issues, fire damage, and other related incidents.
Utilize advanced techniques and specialized equipment to gather and analyze data, such as structural modeling, non-destructive testing, and material analysis.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including architects, contractors, insurance adjusters, and legal professionals, to assess damages and develop mitigation strategies.
Prepare detailed forensic engineering reports outlining findings, conclusions, and recommendations for remediation or litigation purposes.
Engineer solutions that rectify the problems and restore the buildings.

About You:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required; additional certifications in forensic engineering or structural analysis highly desirable but not required.
Previous professional experience in forensic structural engineering is preferred.
Proficiency in structural analysis software and forensic engineering tools, such as RISA, ANSYS, or ARAMIS.
Thorough understanding of building codes, standards, and industry practices related to forensic investigations (e.g., ASTM, ASCE, NFPA).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.

Ready to embark on an exciting journey as a Forensic Structural Engineer? We look forward to hearing from you! Apply Today!
