Job Description Currently, ASRC is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented
Sr. Network /Communications Engineer to join our team. This position is in support of our Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) customer, located at Ft. Meade, Maryland.
The work location for this position is
hybrid . The candidate must be available for some travel and local travel to attend occasional meetings or conferences.
As the Coalition Warfare Program IT Consultant, your primary role involves providing technical expertise and enterprise service management, risk management analysis, and advice to Coalition Combatant Commands/Services/Agencies and their staffs in the planning, implementation, and management of information technology (IT) systems for coalition operations. You will work closely with Combatant Commands, senior leaders, and coalition partners to develop risk management plans and strategies that to minimize and or eliminate identified risks. You will explore advanced technologies to extend the DODIN to the tactical edge in contested environments. You will also monitor risks, evaluate the performance of risk management strategies, and provide regular reporting to the government clients and possibly senior leaders.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Provide technical expertise to coalition partners on IT systems and networks, including hardware, software, and communications equipment.
- Conduct assessments and analyses of coalition partner IT systems to identify vulnerabilities, gaps, and areas for improvement.
- Conduct assessments of existing IT infrastructure and identifying areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement IT solutions to address the specific needs of coalition partners, such as interoperability and data sharing.
- Provide Project/Program Assessments and Management Status Reports
- Provide Technical Reports, White Papers, Briefings, and Informational Documents
- Review relevant documentation and ensure all systems are properly documented in accordance with approved DoD and DISA standards and within guidance appropriate to the type of project.
- Provide Risk Management assessments, plans, relevant after-action report, Trip report, and status reports of the project/program assignment.
- Collect Government Test entities, and technical documentation from the vendor where the technology is being assessed and summarize progress of emerging Projects/Programs.
- Summarize progress of projects and programs during their lifecycles
- Conduct outreach support involving all information dissemination activities including electronic correspondence.
- Contribute towards Government planning, analysis, and reporting programmatic impacts on the cost, returns on investment, schedule dependencies between project and program.
- Provide recommendations for function and technical solutions.
- Provide review and analysis of program/project documentation, including document cross-walks between requirements, measures, or assessment criteria and functionality to determine possible redundancies or potential issues
- Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and guidelines that align with coalition standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with other members of the coalition to develop and maintain IT policies and procedures that ensure the security, integrity, and availability of IT resources.
- Collaborate with coalition partners to ensure seamless integration of IT systems and interoperability between different technologies.
- Provide technical support to coalition partners on the use of IT systems and technologies.
- Develop and maintain an understanding of emerging technologies and their potential applications to coalition operations.
- Advise coalition partners on emerging IT trends and technologies that could benefit their military operations.
- Advising on the use of IT systems for command and control, logistics, intelligence, and other functions.
- Evaluating the effectiveness of IT systems and recommending improvements or modifications as needed.
- Support the coalition on IT issues at meetings and conferences with other organizations, including government agencies, industry partners, and academic institutions.
- Ensuring compliance with security protocols and mitigating cybersecurity risks.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential risks associated with coalition military operations.
- Develop risk management plans that outline strategies for mitigating or eliminating identified risks, and work with coalition partners to negotiate and implement those plans.
- Communicate effectively with coalition partners to ensure that everyone is aware of potential risks and understands their role in managing those risks.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of risk management strategies, analyze data and feedback from coalition partners, and make recommendations for future operations.
Requirements Requirements: - Master's degree in computer or engineering field or equivalent and 10 years' experience
- Experience working in coalition or joint environments is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse partners and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of military operations and procedures, with experience in coalition operations preferred.
- Possess a strong technical background in IT systems, cybersecurity, and networks as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders in a coalition or multinational environment.
- You would also need to be familiar with the military and security environment, including the organizational structures, procedures, and regulations that govern coalition operations.
