Job Details We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced fire alarm technician to service the San Jose area. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Fire Alarm programming, service, and installation. The candidate must have strong technical skills and training or certificates with Notifier, Silent Knight, Bosch, Edwards, Simplex and others. This role requires a CA Blue card and NICET certifications are a plus! This role gives you the option to work Mon-Fri or to work 4 10 hour shifts.
Responsibilities:
- Program and service Fire Alarm systems in commercial and residential buildings.
- Provide technical support to the project team and clients.
- Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets.
- Conduct site surveys and ensure compliance with local, state, and national codes and regulations.
- Troubleshoot and repair Fire Alarm systems.
- Train and mentor junior programmers and technicians.
- Participate in project meetings and provide technical guidance to project team members.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Fire Alarm programming, service, and installation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Knowledge of local, state, and national codes and regulations.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel as needed.
