Processing Operator
This position supports the Operations team at I.Rice. Here you will engage in a fast-paced work environment at a robust food manufacturing plant. This is a full-time position with daytime hours, primarily Monday through Friday.
This candidate must be able to work in a dynamic setting, perform multiple duties, and engage in new opportunities each day.
Essential Job and Duties
Leads kettle team and manages day-to-day kettle operations
Operates kettle and filling equipment to produce product within guidelines established by the Operations and Quality Control teams
Provides technical assistance and performs basic maintenance on production and filling equipment
Interfaces with floor supervisors
Adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
Follow Safe Quality Foods protocols
Assists in maintaining a clean and safe work environment
Requirements
Skills, Expectations and Education/Training
General mechanic skills related to food manufacturing facility and related equipment
Strong communication skills required, especially in relation to verbal communication between operators and supervisors across departments
Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
Must be a self-starter and self-motivated
Must be able to manage changing priorities associated with a fast-paced, team environment
High school diploma or equivalent
General mechanic training certificate preferred but not required, such as HVAC and plumbing
Experience in a manufacturing facility preferred but not required
Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Must be able to withstand standing for long periods of time
