Job Description

CME Group is currently looking for a Market Regulation 2025 Summer Intern.

This candidate will assist the Data Investigations Team on day-to-day activities in support of the Large Trader Reporting.

The Data Investigations (DI) team is part of CME Group Market Regulation Department and mandated by the CFTC to conduct annual registration, audit trail and recordkeeping reviews of Clearing Member Firms as well as receiving and assessing daily CFTC-required reports from Market Participants. The core purpose is the maintenance at the highest level of completeness and accuracy of the key data elements essential for market surveillance and market rules violation detection.

Principal Accountabilities

• Performing basic functions for Large Trader Reporting processes
• Basic account analysis for Large Trader Reporting
• Analyzing audit statistics gathered by Team
• Learn basic process efficiency methods
• Give Team updates on industry/market events

Skills/Requirements

• Basic knowledge of derivative industry
• Ability to multitask and prioritize
• Proactive and eager to learn
• Innovative and creative thinking
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Google Workspace
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education Requirements

Pursuing a degree in Finance, Data Analytics, or related fields.

Additional degrees will be considered if other requirements are met by candidate.

• 40 Hours/Week

• Hybrid Position local to Chicago (20 S. Wacker Drive)

Actual pay offered will be dependent on a wide array of factors including but not limited to: relevant experience, skills, education, location of the internship, and the internship area of focus.
