Logistics Analyst

LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking Logistics Analyst to join a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ocean freight, negotiations with freight carriers, and customs/import processes. This role is critical to ensuring the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods across international borders.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and optimize transportation routes and methods to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Manage and negotiate contracts with freight carriers to secure favorable terms and rates.
• Oversee ocean freight operations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods.
• Coordinate with customs brokers and import/export agents to ensure compliance with all regulations.
• Monitor and report on transportation metrics and performance.
• Collaborate with internal teams to forecast transportation needs and develop strategies to meet them.
• Resolve transportation-related issues and discrepancies in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation analysis, with a focus on ocean freight.
• Proven experience in negotiating with freight carriers.
• Strong knowledge of customs and import regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in transportation management systems and software.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Employment Type: Full-time, Onsite

Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 based on experience
