Job Description

Due to expanding enrollment, the School of Professional Studies’ M.S. in program is seeking scholars, practitioners, or industry professionals to propose and teach a new elective course starting in the 2025 summer term. The existing IKNS curriculum to which the new course would be added is described .

Responsibilities

Lead online class lectures, instructional activities, and classroom discussion

Lead in-person residency session(s)

Evaluate student work and grade assignments

Monitor student concerns and inquiries and be the first point of contact for student questions

Hold weekly office hours

Part‐time Lecturers who are new to SPS must complete Canvas training (online learning management system)

Class Days and Times

The class sections will meet online or in-person once a week (110 minutes) in the late afternoon or early evening, for the duration of one full term. The weekday and exact time when the class will meet has yet to be decided and will be based both on student needs as well as instructor availability.
