POSITION SUMMARY:

This position provides physical labor toward the maintenance of the power shop area or towards the production of daily yard operations. To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• Experience and ability to use common hand and power tools such as pressure washers screwdrivers saws drills wrenches and hammers.
• Basic English communication skills (verbal/written).
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to accurately process alpha/numeric information.
• Ability to obtain internal forklift certification within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule extended hours holidays and/or weekends as needed.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision and strong initiative.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers vendors and fellow employees.
• Ability to think logically follow procedures instructions and make sound decisions.
• Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC card within 30 days of employment.

Preferred

• One (1) year of experience operating a forklift at OSHA standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary

• Pressures wash and clean all the heavy equipment and vehicles within Seaboards fleet.
• Pressures wash work areas as needed including spills.
• Maintains awareness of all surroundings (i.e. trucks people etc.) at all times.
• Maintain a clean work area free of debris or safety hazards and maintain an awareness of surroundings (i.e. vehicles equipment etc.) at all times.

Secondary

• Serves as back up to the crane Laborer.
• Performs general maintenance work of the Power Shop area inside and outside.
• Operates a forklift to empty yard garbage bins.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Subjection to physical and/or DOT Screening may be required along with other tests as applicable.
• The employee is continuously required to stand walk reach forward and grasp.
• The employee is frequently required to bend forward twist reach overhead and exercise eyehand coordination.
• The employee is frequently required to talk and hear.
• The employee is occasionally required to sit climb squat pinch exercise repetitive foot and wrist motion finger dexterity and eyehandfoot coordination.
• The employee must frequently lift carry push and pull up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift carry push and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
