***Hybrid position with a dedicated office location currently being identified in Louisville, KY, or Southern Indiana. Competitive pay with discretionary bonus & excellent PTO. ***

 

Key Responsibilities

Freight Management: Execute freight services in compliance with government and company regulations. Oversee shipment processes, track status, schedule loads, and assist with loading and delivery as needed.

Carrier Coordination: Review and analyze carrier agreements, negotiate terms, manage schedules, and select low-risk carriers that adhere to regulatory standards.

Customer Service: Provide accurate quotes, handle customer concerns professionally, and build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective customers.

Record Keeping: Ensure all activities are thoroughly documented, with complete and approved paperwork before transportation.

Sales and Growth: Create and implement strategies to generate leads, expand business, and proactively address issues to enhance service quality.

Industry Awareness: Keep up to date with transportation trends, pricing structures, and industry scams to support strategic and operational improvements.

Skills:

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Professionalism with emotional intelligence and time management abilities
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and pricing structures
  • Proficiency with logistics software. Familiarity with Tai software is a plus
  • Adaptability in fast-paced environments and ability to work independently and with a team.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 5 years of brokering experience
  • Familiarity with brokerage firm operations, carrier management, and broker regulations
