Job Title: Entry-Level Event Assistant

Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Dallas, TX
Reports to: Event Coordinator/Manager

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized, motivated, and enthusiastic Entry-Level Event Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will support the planning and execution of a variety of events, including corporate functions, social gatherings, and promotional activities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in the event planning industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the coordination of event logistics, including venue setup, catering, and audiovisual equipment.
  • Help maintain communication with vendors, clients, and staff before and during events.
  • Provide on-site support during events, such as managing registration, guest services, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Conduct research on venues, vendors, and event services as needed.
  • Maintain event databases, schedules, and checklists to ensure all tasks are completed on time.
  • Assist with the post-event evaluation, including collecting feedback and compiling reports.
  • Help with administrative tasks such as answering emails, scheduling meetings, and preparing documents.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic familiarity with event management software is a plus.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Positive attitude and a strong team player.
