About the Role
The Company is seeking a visionary and innovative Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) to lead the strategic monetization of new and innovative assets and platforms in the marketplace. The successful candidate will be a growth-minded, detail-oriented commercial leader with a proven track record in developing and executing revenue-generating strategies. This pivotal role requires a leader who can bring a fresh perspective, leverage emerging trends and technologies, and ensure a positive culture internally and externally. The CRO will be expected to possess a deep understanding of current issues in Division I Intercollegiate athletics and work to enhance and modernize revenue streams, including overseeing various athletics revenue-generating departments and partnerships. Responsibilities also include utilizing data analytics, collaborating with key partners, and establishing KPIs to track and drive revenue performance. Applicants for the CRO position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years of experience in fiscal financial management or administration, with a strong preference for those with a background in high-level revenue generation, particularly in collegiate Division I athletics or professional sports. The role demands a leader with strong business acumen, the ability to create long-term strategic success, and a deep knowledge of the NCAA marketplace and regulations. The ideal candidate will be a mature, capable communicator, and leader, adept at talent development, and with a keen eye for market trends and opportunities. The CRO will work in close collaboration with the Athletics Chief Financial Officer, the Chief Operating Officer, and other key stakeholders to ensure the department's financial success and its continued alignment with the academic mission of the institution.
