**Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)**

The Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking a Chief Information Security Officer to establish and maintain the enterprise vision, strategy, and compliance for our Information System architecture. The CISO at Space Dynamics Laboratory is a key role bringing value to the organization by promoting a culture of awareness, accountability, and compliance through a comprehensive proactive security program. The selected candidate will lead SDLs Information Security group and oversee SDLs technological infrastructure and ensure compliance with all information assurance policies, procedures, and regulations.

The selected candidate will report to SDLs Director-Security and be responsible for developing, implementing, and operating a comprehensive enterprise security program across Unclassified/Proprietary, Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), Collateral, SCI, and SAP networks. Management of the security organization includes managing the architecture and implementation for monitoring, troubleshooting, alerting, reporting, and response to incidents or threats.

**Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:**

* Setting strategic direction and objectives for the security of information systems

* Creating and implementing policies, procedures, and protocol to ensure compliance with government regulations, security standards, and customer requirements

* Ensuring employees within and outside of the division are properly trained and mentored

* Selecting and implementing suitable technology to streamline all internal operations and help optimize their strategic benefits to the laboratory

* Ensuring compliance with Unclassified/Proprietary, Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), Collateral, SCI, and SAP networks

* Managing all information assurance to include cyber security and industrial security

* Implementing audit and compliance matters for the group

* Collaborating across the laboratory to identify and mitigate risk

* Monitoring changes or advancements in technology to discover ways the company can further support customer requirements

**Required Qualifications:**

* BS in computer science, engineering or relevant field

* Proven experience as CISO or similar Information Assurance managerial role

* 8 or more years of supervisory experience

* Excellent knowledge of IT regulations, requirements, systems, and infrastructure

* Expert knowledge in technological areas such as networks, architecture, cybersecurity, project management, advanced coding

* Experience implementing NIST SP 800-171 compliance

* Superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities

* Strong strategic and business mindset

* Must be able to obtain a Top Secret U.S. Government security clearance

* Must be a US citizen

**Preferred Qualifications:**

* A leader with the skills to provide direction to company-wide strategies for information security practices, awareness, architecture, and incident response

* A leader capable of overseeing the operations of the security team, including providing direction for information security practices, governance, and policies

* A mentor and advisor to steer compliance operations to meet multiple government regulatory and industry requirements

* A leader who can engage with customers about security concerns and questions regarding network architecture

* Prefer MS

* CISSP Certification
