ETEK is seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Account Manager to lead our Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) business development efforts. This role will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, building strategic relationships, and expanding our footprint within the FAA market. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of federal contracting, aviation-related programs, and a track record of successfully managing business development efforts focused on federal clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Business Development:
    • Lead the full lifecycle business development process for FAA opportunities, including identification, qualification, pursuit, and capture.
    • Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with company objectives to grow FAA accounts.
  2. Opportunity Identification & Capture Management:
    • Monitor FAA procurements and acquisition forecasts to identify relevant opportunities.
    • Manage the proposal development process, including teaming arrangements, pricing strategies, and competitive analysis.
  3. Customer Relationship Management:
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with FAA leadership and key stakeholders.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for FAA clients, addressing their needs and ensuring high customer satisfaction.
  4. Teaming and Partnership Development:
    • Identify and collaborate with partners and subcontractors to enhance competitive positioning.
    • Negotiate teaming agreements and other partnerships to support strategic growth.
  5. Market Analysis and Intelligence Gathering:
    • Stay updated on FAA programs, policies, and industry trends affecting business opportunities.
    • Provide leadership with insights and recommendations based on market intelligence.
  6. Internal Collaboration and Reporting:
    • Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, finance, and contracts, to ensure alignment and smooth execution of business development strategies.
    • Develop and present regular status reports and business forecasts to senior leadership.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Aviation Management, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in business development, account management, or capture management, preferably in the federal government sector.
  • Proven track record of winning business in the FAA or aviation-related government agencies.
    • Participated in the capture process of over 100 million in task order value
  • Strong knowledge of the FAAs procurement processes, acquisition strategies, and programs.
  • Experience leading proposals, negotiations, and complex capture strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency with opportunity identification/capture software such as GovWin, Sam.gov, and various agency specific portals.
