The EPMO (Enterprise Project Management Office) Business Analyst plays a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless integration between IT capabilities and business objectives during the planning and execution of enterprise initiatives managed by the EPMO. The Business Analyst collects, analyzes, and documents business and IT requirements to maintain clear communication with all stakeholders. This person supports the development and maintenance of key project documentation such as project charters, requirements documents, project schedules, process flow diagrams, business cases, and transition plans, focusing on IT specifications to improve technical project management effectiveness. The role demands active collaboration with cross-functional project teams to define and implement project requirements while ensuring alignment and effective communication between stakeholders. The Business Analyst conducts analyses of business processes and IT systems, addressing and resolving requirements issues with solutions that boost project effectiveness from both IT and business perspectives. The Business Analyst is responsible for facilitating effective communication with IT teams and other business units to guarantee a clear understanding and implementation of project requirements. Further responsibilities include preparing and presenting regular internal EPMO status updates while ensuring project transparency and accountability with a particular focus on IT developments. By integrating feedback from various stakeholders into project planning and execution, the role enhances project outcomes.
This role requires a strategic thinker with a robust background in business analysis, project management, and a deep understanding of IT systems and infrastructure.

PRIMARY TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES /ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Support the EPMO by maintaining effective collaboration and communication across all levels of project management, ensuring alignment with business and IT standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and implement project requirements for enterprise-level projects.
- Participate in the vendor selection process by evaluating proposals and assessing vendors based on their ability to meet the project requirements, cost-effectiveness, and overall value.
- Ensure external vendors deliver services and products that meet the project's requirements and align with business goals.
- Assist in developing and maintaining comprehensive project documentation that merges business and functional requirements with technical specifications to ensure thorough project planning and analysis.
- Create key PMO documentation including project charters, status reports, process flows, and transition plans, emphasizing IT specifications to support effective technical project management.
- Prepare and present regular status reports and presentations to the PMO focusing on project transparency and accountability including IT developments.
- Integrate feedback from various stakeholders, including IT, into project planning and execution, enhancing outcomes and ensuring project deliverables compliance.
- Conduct analysis of business processes and IT systems to assess project impacts and dependencies.
- Address and resolve requirements issues by proposing solutions that enhance project effectiveness with input from IT and business perspectives.
- Utilize analytical and creative thinking to proactively solve complex challenges in projects.
- Drive continuous project improvement and business alignment, integrating PMO methodologies with a focus on robust IT and business integration.
- Represent the PMO in project communications, ensuring technical and project success through project alignment and stakeholder engagement.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS: - BA/BS required, preferably in a business or technical discipline, with a strong emphasis on IT systems and processes.
- 5+ years of experience in business analysis, focusing on requirements gathering, a solid understanding of technical requirements, IT systems, IT infrastructure and software development.
- 3+ years of process modeling experience, highly beneficial for mapping IT workflows and processes.
- Relevant project management certifications such as PMP or SCRUM preferred.
- Prior insurance company experience preferred.
- Prior experience with vendor management and selection preferred.
- Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices, particularly those used in IT project management.
- Experience with Salesforce-based applications and Jira preferred, highlighting proficiency in IT project tracking and customer relationship management platforms.
- Experience with IT ticketing systems preferred, demonstrating capability in managing IT service requests and incident tracking.
- Ability to create detailed, well-written documentation for various audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a capability to identify risks and devise contingencies.
- Adaptable and flexible, with a proven track record of navigating complex IT project challenges and fostering innovation within projects.
- Strong communication (listening, oral and written) and facilitation skills, crucial for effective coordination.
- Excellent relationship management and influencing skills, key to managing stakeholder expectations.
- Demonstrated client interfacing skills, enabling direct, independent engagement with cross-functional teams.
- Strategic thinker with a focus on business outcomes, skilled in aligning IT project objectives with organizational goals.
